Back in October of 2019, The Blaze ran a story about a divorced couple in Texas, Jeffery Younger and Anne Georgulas, in which Georgulas was given sole conservatorship and was giving her son James puberty blocking hormones in order to transition James into a female. Jeffrey Younger disagreed because of religious and ethical objections to the procedure, as well as saying his son showed no signs of wanting to be a girl when given the choice.
