A Christian that doesn’t believe God’s word? Apparently so, according to this article from NewsMax, published yesterday, Tuesday, September 27th., headlined, “LGBTQ-Friendly Church OK With Getting Southern Baptist Boot“.
When her teenage daughter came out as a lesbian several years ago, one of the first things Caroline Joyce did was to Google, “Can you be gay and be a Christian?”
The family was attending a conservative Southern Baptist church in the Greensboro, North Carolina, area that considered homosexual activity to be sinful.
“We had been taught one thing, but we knew our daughter loved Jesus,” Joyce said. “She was very open with us during her struggle to figure out what was going on with her.”
And Caroline and her husband, Chuck, began their own struggle.
Their daughter and a younger sibling found a gay-friendly church, College Park Baptist Church in Greensboro. They “started attending with our blessing because we knew if she continued attending our church, she’d be totally turned off to God,” Caroline Joyce said.
Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, and Pastor of the Christian Revival Center, both centrally located in Harrison, Arkansas said, “So many people today are being fooled by these ‘One-World’ churches and their leaders. They twist the words of the Bible, and tell people whatever they want to hear, just to get a full collection plate every Sunday. I stand here as a true man of God, and I’m telling you, the Bible clearly states that God can not lie, and He does not change. What don’t people understand about this Biblical fact? You can’t support, or be a homosexual and be a Christian too. It’s that simple. God destroyed two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah for their homosexual behaviors. If the Bible is correct, and I do believe it is, this means that God still hates the homosexuals, their behaviors, and their supporters. What is so hard to understand? If your churches and it’s leaders, tell you that it’s ok to be a homosexual, they’re misleading you, and the rest of the congregation. The second biggest sin spoken of in the Bible that the churches today condone is miscegenation. If you have mixed race couples, or same sex couples within your congregation, get out now! You are not in a Christian church!”
