The True Measure of Honor: Reclaiming the Soul of Our Nation
Why Integrity and Respect for Others Must Guide America’s Future
In our consideration of right and wrong, it is tempting to weigh offenses only by their impact on property and possessions. Yet, when we pause to reflect, we find that the most profound harm is not done by the hands that take, but by the tongues that destroy. Theft is indeed a crime deserving of condemnation, but slander—tearing down a neighbor’s reputation through lies and malice—inflicts a wound that is deeper, more insidious, and far more difficult to heal.
To rob a person of their good name is to take from them something more precious than silver or gold. The slanderer strikes unseen, often leaving the innocent unable to defend themselves, their honor sullied without their knowledge. Material loss can be restored, but the trust, respect, and fellowship lost to whispered falsehoods may never be reclaimed. In this sense, even the condemned thief maintains a shred of integrity that the slanderer has abandoned, for the thief does not mask their deed in self-righteousness or seek to poison the hearts of others.
At the heart of a just society is the recognition that honor is our highest possession—one we must protect for ourselves and for our fellow citizens. The first command of honor is to safeguard the dignity of others, refusing to speak or act in any way that would unjustly diminish it. The second command is to respect the property and achievements earned through hard work and honest industry, acknowledging that each person’s labor contributes to the greater good.
As Americans, we carry the legacy of a nation founded on liberty, mutual trust, and the belief that all are created equal under God. Our patriotic calling is to renew these values in our own lives and in our country. Imagine a nation where every door stands unlocked at night, where lost belongings are returned without hesitation, and where a person’s word is as good as gold. Such a land once existed—and by God’s grace, it can flourish again.
White Christian men and women founded this nation. Even those few who did not fully commit to Christianity understood that its principles were at the core of America’s foundation. This is not to say that all the white people were perfect or never did wrong. That has never been true for any race of people, and the original Klan never claimed such. They understood that evil intentions could exist anywhere. However, both the 1865 Klan, America’s founding settlers, the pioneers, and early statesmen believed that western Christian civilization was the most beneficial for the white race – afterall, western Christian civilization was white so it only makes sense that the white people who pioneered and then formed the American government would want to have the type of civilization they had created in Europe – with a few minor adjuistments – like no Kings – and more opportunity for ordinary people. And even though they had no evil intent for non – white people, they still did not dream that their nation would one day be in jeopardy of losing its status as a white Christian nation based on merit.
Yet, the slanderer has come in and has ridiculed, lied, and told falsehoods about America’s foundation, its white settlers, and even those who reacted to widespread violence with a calming return to justice, such as the Klan. And it’s not just in America; white people around the world are defamed and slandered. Even Eldridge Cleaver, a black political activist, early leader of the Black Panther Party, and author of Soul on Ice, noted that white people had lost their heroes. He argued that white people had make-believe heroes like James Bond because, in his opinion, white people never had to struggle. The fact is, white people have lost their heroes because their heroes have been slandered and mocked until there is no longer any respect for them. Even those men and women who do retain some hero status – especially among conservatives – are still slandered in subtle ways – anyway to undermine their whiteness.
A Note about Eldridge Cleaver: Eldridge Cleaver openly admitted in Soul on Ice (1968) that he had committed rapes, and he described them in deeply disturbing and graphic terms. He wrote that he initially raped Black women as “practice,” and then deliberately raped white women, which he framed at the time as an “insurrectionary act” — a way of striking back at white society.
“Rape was an insurrectionary act. It delighted me that I was defying and trampling upon the white man’s law, upon his system of values, and that I was defiling his women… I felt I was getting revenge.” He was also involved in ambushing police.
Obviously, this is disgusting and revenge rape, whether black on white or white on black, should be included in the death penalty provisions. He also later left the Democratic Party and ran as a Republican in California. Bottom line -whether he was considered a Leftist Communist or a “reformed” conservative, his stance on race never changed. So it is with many – both left and right – both battle for different economic policies and for or against Woke ideas. Still, unfortunately, Almost EVERYONE cowers, quivers in fear, and will do almost anything to avoid being called racist! They fear the Slander MORE than they fear not being truthful. Their reputation is more important than righteousness.
Dishonesty, whether by theft or slander, has no place in a community built upon faith and virtue. It is our sacred duty to root out deceit from our hearts, our families, and our nation.
Let us, therefore, raise up a new generation—one honest in word and deed, for whom honor is more essential than life itself. Let us be a people whose patriotism is measured not only by flags and anthems, but by the trust we inspire and the respect we give to others. May we hold sacred both the property and the good name of every American, knowing that in doing so, we honor not only one another, but also the God who calls us to righteousness.
Woe to any who would forsake these truths; but for those who uphold them, may there be blessing and abundance, and the enduring promise of a nation united in honor and faith.
Remember, beware the lying Press.
