Knights Party Press Release: July 2. 2021

It’s ironic how progressives hate law & order, that is, unless they’re the one hiding in a closet in the Capitol building! One America News Network ran this headline on Monday, June 28th, “AOC Mocks Crime Surge Fears, Doubles Down On Defunding Police.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has doubled down on defunding the police. During a recent town hall, the New York Democrat said concerns about the nation’s crime surge are simply “hysteria.”

Her remarks came just days after the National Fraternal Order of Police reported shootings in New York City rose 64 percent this year compared with this time in 2020. However, Ocasio-Cortez claimed Americans are misinterpreting these reports and said now is the time to slash law enforcement budgets.

Speaking from the National Office of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, based in Harrison, Arkansas, National Director, Thomas Robb said, “The media has been focusing on anti-Asian crime in recent months, and allegations have been made that so-called hate crimes, in general, have sharply increased in the past year. Yet, no one seeks to care about the brutal acts of violence that are committed against whites every day in this country. Crime is up so it is illogical that AOC and her associates would want to defund the police. Despite who the victims of crime may be, it is a terrible idea to pull funds from law enforcement. Of course, along with the yelling to defund police is the suggestion that there are too many guns in America and that that is the root of the surge. The bottom line is, law abiding citizens have the right to defend themselves how they choose and in whatever community they live in. More respect for this inalienable right just might lessen crime and mean that law enforcement wasn’t stretched to the brink. Afterall, while it seems to have escaped AOC’s attention, law abiding citizens are the first line of defense followed by their employees, the police, and both should be upheld rather than disrespected.”
