Judicial Watch announced Tuesday that it has amended its lawsuit against Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a Democrat who claims to be “unapologetic” about her previous policy of granting interviews only to journalists of color.
Lightfoot told The New York Times for a podcast released Monday that she “would absolutely” implement the interview policy again. “I’m unapologetic about it because it spurred a very important conversation, a conversation that needed to happen, that should have happened a long time ago,” Lightfoot said.
The National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, based in Harrison, Arkansas, Thomas Robb said, “There seems to be alot of ‘tongue-in-cheek’ talk among influential blacks lately hinting at the idea of segregation. Recently, CNN’s Don Lemon suggested segregating vaccinated and unvaccinated people, and here’s mayor Lori Lightfoot suggesting segregation among who she’ll even speak to. Imagine if a White mayor would announce that they would only speak to White reporters! That would cause an outrage among blacks. There would be rioting and looting in the streets. Yet a black, lesbian suggests it, and it’s ok?”
