The Knights Party Congress, held over Labor Day Weekend outside of Harrison, Arkansas, was a time of learning, fellowship, entertainment, and inspiration. The event got under way on Friday night with a meet and greet sponsored by the Christian Revival Center with associates and their families, from across the country enjoying locally prepared desserts, hoirdervers, and musical entertainment by Steve and Bonnie.

Saturday, after breakfast prepared by volunteer staff, speeches were made by Shawn R. of Ohio, Tom Bowie of Arkansas, Joseph M. of California, evangelist Steve Kukla of Oklahoma, Jason Robb with the national office and Lisa from Texas. Local building designer Brian, gave a presentation showing a 3-D video and graphic demonstration of what the future Christian Research and Development Center would look like upon completion along with cost analysis. Everyone was impressed with the layout which gives ample room for a library, classrooms, video studio, sound studio, offices, and the Hall of Heroes.

In addition, the beautiful weather was the perfect backdrop for a foraging workshop. Lisa, an expert in disaster preparation, took everyone on a foray into the wooded area at the Christian Revival Center for a first hand look at edible and medicinal plants and fielded questions about flora in other parts of the country as well as giving first aid advice.  Saturday night concluded with a spaghetti dinner and a bonfire.

On Sunday morning, worship services were held with traditional hymns, scripture reading, and a sermon by Pastor Robb. We were excited to also witness the renewing of marriage vows

by Bob and Crystal.  The afternoon speakers included Jay and Vicki, district coordinators, Rachel Pendergraft, and Pastor Robb. Two workshops were held: Local Activism 101 and Gun Safety & Self Defense. After Sunday evening’s banquet the weekend concluded with a traditional Cross Lighting Ceremony while a solo of the Old Rugged Cross was sung by Steve Kukla.

We thank everyone who attended and were pleased to see so many new faces and young families in attendance. This was a very blessed event.
