In brief, the story says, the ruling Wednesday by a federal appeals court allowing the federal government to withhold grant money to so-called “sanctuary” states and localities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities is an important victory that will help protect the American people from dangerous illegal immigrant criminals.

Martin continues later on in the story saying, “These state and local governments don’t deserve taxpayer money when their sanctuary policies endanger the public and undercut law enforcement.” “Congress should now pass legislation that allows the victims of crimes committed by released illegal immigrants to sue for damages.”

Two Republicans in North Carolina, Sen. Thom Tillis and Rep. Ted Budd, have introduced legislation in Congress to do just that.

The bill, titled, Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act, tackles the problem of sanctuary jurisdictions from a new and different angle. It could finally be the legislation needed to break the policy conflict logjam for the first time in decades.

Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party, based in Harrison Arkansas said, “It’s about time someone takes a good hard stance against these illegals and the crimes they commit against our law abiding American citizens.”

Robb added, “Our citizens that fall victim to these illegals, their tax monies are going to these cities and muncipalities that are “hiding” these illegals commiting the crimes.” “It’s time to stop rewarding bad behavior in America.”
