Seattle’s mayor announced a plan to cut millions of dollars from the city’s police department. Mayor Jenny Durkan is proposing the city cut $76 million from the department’s $400 million budget.
According to Durkan, the cuts would not jeopardize the region’s 9-1-1 service. This came after the city council originally voted to cut the budget nearly in half.
National Director of the Knights Party, based in Harrison Arkansas, Thomas Robb, said, “I wonder how all these mayors that are anti-police, boldly stating in news how they’re cutting their police departments funding will react when they themselves call law enforcement for help, and they get a recording to leave a message and someone will get back to them when they can. Everyone wants Anarchy until they live in a society full of Anarchists.”
