Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale’s mom said Monday it was “a very, very difficult” time for the family, saying: “I think I lost my daughter today.”
The gun-control-activist mom of Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale begged for privacy after Monday’s mass murder — saying: “I think I lost my daughter today.”
“It is very, very difficult right now,” Norma Hale told ABC News when reached on the phone after her transgender child killed six, including three 9-year-old students. “I can’t talk to you.”
The proud Christian mom — who has regularly posted on social media about the need to “Keep Guns Out of School” in anguish at previous massacres — did not mention the victims as she asked for privacy during the brief chat.
The reference to her “daughter” also appeared to be at odds with the mass killer’s LinkedIn profile using “he/him” pronouns and at times using the male name Aiden.
Police on Monday said officers were still investigating whether Hale’s transgender identity played any part in the motive, which appeared to have been outlined in a manifesto.
National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, based out of Harrison, Arkansas, Thomas Robb said, “This is a tragedy that these young children lost their lives, so when I say what I’m about to say, it’s not in ignorance of the loss of life at this school, but it’s the mother’s fault for several reasons, but I’ll just discuss this one.
This mother’s idea that keeping guns out of schools makes no sense. Did her child go to the school to get the firearm used in this shooting? No, it was already in the child’s possession when entering the school. Imagine if someone in this school would have been armed. This situation may have ended quicker, and had less loss of life. The reason it’s her mother’s fault is that apparently her child had an undiagnosed mental illness going on for some time. This mother, instead of seeking help for child, just left it fester instead. There is no ‘proud Christian mom’ that supports homosexuality. You can’t be a Christian and support something God detests. She said she thinks ‘she lost her daughter’? As compared to what? Is the mother also confused as to what sex her child is? God made her child either male or female. There is no “he/him” sex. If this mother claims to be Christian, I’d like to know where in the Bible does it talk about anyone ‘switching’ sexes. This mother should have seeked mental health treatment for the both of them. The mother is just as confused about God’s word as the child was about what sex he was. I take it that it was her son, but who knows I’ve heard ‘daughter’, which if homosexual, I suppose he was male, pretending to be a female, and the whole ‘he/him’ thing I don’t understand as the Bible never discussed this either. This is why I blame the mother. She should have gotten mental health help for herself because she accepted her sons behavior as normal Christian behavior.”
