Protections for thee, but not for me is theme of this article that was published on Wednesday, June 28., by The Daily Caller, headlined, “New Michigan Hate Speech Bill Would Make It A Felony To Make Someone ‘Feel’ Threatened.”
A new Michigan bill would make it a hate crime to cause someone to “feel terrorized, frightened, or threatened.”
The Michigan Hate Crime Act, designated HB 4474 , passed in the state House on Tuesday and now goes before the Michigan Senate. It will replace the existing Ethnic Intimidation Act and expand the categories of people protected by the law.
The new bill would include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity or expression” as classes protected against intimidation.
It would also expand the definition of a hate crime from threats or property damage under the current law to a broader definition that includes force, intimidation, threats, bodily injury or damage to personal property.
The act defines intimidation as “repeated or continuing harassment of another individual” that causes the victim to “feel terrorized, frightened or threatened.” It would not include “constitutionally protected activity or conduct that serves a legitimate purpose.”
“What about protections for common citizens?”, asked Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, centrally based in Harrison, Arkansas. “From what I’m gathering, these protections only apply to homosexuals. It states that this new Bill includes “sexual orientation” and “gender identity or expression” as classes protected against intimidation. I also noticed that it says it would not include constitutionally protected activity or conduct that serves a legitimate purpose. Let me decipher this for you. If you are a White, Christian citizen that knows homosexuality is a sin, and you try to show a queer where in the Bible it talks about the sin of homosexuality, you can be arrested. If you are a proud White patriot that has a problem with 13% of our population causing over 50% of our crime, if you state the facts that this is the black population in America, you could be arrested. If you support law enforcement, and a black forces a police officer to use lethal force, and the blacks start ‘peaceful’ protesting by burning cities to the ground, looting stores empty, and blocking major highways, you have to condone this behavior, or you can be arrested. When homosexuals are flashing young children, grooming them for future legalized pedophilia, spreading pornographic books throughout the schools, threatening parents that they’re coming for their children, they will be protected, they will not be arrested. Some folks unfortunately will support this sugarcoated Bill, but I see it for exactly what it is. This could be a chapter straight out of George Orwell’s novel ‘1984’.”
