The first Transgender bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has resigned in a firestorm of controversy fueled by allegations of corruption and racism.
Rev. Megan Rohrer, a biological female, was the first openly transgender preacher elected to the rank of bishop by a mainline Protestant denomination in May 2021, and was formally installed in September. Rohrer’s tenure with the church was wracked by internal disputes, and accusations of financial and managerial misconduct.
“After listening to the important and prayerful conversation at the Sierra Pacific Synod Assembly, I spent some time with my family and then had a conversation with the Synod Council,” Rohrer tweeted June 6. “I resigned from the office of Bishop, effective around 4pm on June 4th.”
National Director, Thomas Robb, of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, centrally based in Harrison, Arkansas, spoke from his National Office in Harrison, saying, “As Pastor of the Christian Revival Center here in Harrison, I show my congregation time and time again, just how corrupt these One World churches, and their leaders are. My congregation and I, know these facts from the Bible, number one, homosexuality is a sin. Call it what you want, transgender, bi-sexual, and the other names created to sugarcoat being called anything other than what you truly are, and that is a homosexual. The story in the Bible of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, by God’s own hand, can’t be disputed. This is why the homosexual community came up with these fancy names, thinking maybe God wouldn’t see them for what they truly are. So this Bishop was corrupt long before he became a Bishop. Many won’t grasp what I’m about to say next, because it’s not taught in the One World churches, but to preach God’s word in it’s true meaning, a preacher, pastor, whatever you call your church leader, should be ‘racist’, because the Bible also warns of race-mixing too. Noah and his family were spared certain death when God brought on the flood, because Noah and his family were all that was left that hadn’t tainted their bloodline with non-whites. What I just said probably shocks you, because it’s not taught in today’s churches, but it is facts within the Bible. When I give my congregation the Word every Sunday morning, it’s filled with facts and truths within God’s word. My salvation depends on my preaching the truth. My congregations salvation depends on hearing the truth. This doesn’t happen in the Judeo-Christian teachings of today, and this article is proof of that fact.”
