A record number of people say moral values in the United States are “poor” and getting worse .
According to new data from Gallup, the public perception of morality in America is worse than it’s ever been.
More than 50% of respondents rated the country’s moral values as “poor,” beating the previous record by only 1 percentage point. Only 1% of respondents rated the country’s morality as “excellent,” while 12% said it is “good,” and 37% said it is “only fair.”
A whopping 78% also say the state of moral values in the country is getting worse.
Although the nation’s view of its morality has always been negative — an average of 43% have rated morals in the U.S. as “poor” since 2002 — the number of “poor” ratings is higher than ever before.
Seventy-two percent of Republicans gave the country a “poor” rating, the highest number since the poll began. Democrats were more favorable of the nation’s moral values, with only 36% agreeing with the “poor” rating. Forty-four percent of independents also agreed with the characterization.
Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, centrally based in Harrison, Arkansas, stated, “Of course America has poor moral values, just look around. In America we have men pretending to be women, women pretending to be men, biological men can compete in women’s sports, we’re told men can have babies, and our children are bombarded by homosexuals everywhere they go. They’re minds are corrupted into thinking homosexuality is ok, and that they somehow deserve to change sexes and go through hormone therapy and sexual mutilations. This is just some of the immorality in America! To say America is morally corrupt is an understatement. Of all these people admitting America is in a moral decline, I wonder how many of these people have sat around for years tolerating it? My guess would be many, or America wouldn’t be in its current shape. Until White, Christian, Americans repent for our sin of tolerence of this deviant behavior taking place, I’m afraid America’s only going to delve deeper into destuction. Tolerance of any sin, is a sin itself.”
