The eye-watering financial cost of the migrant crisis hit $150 billion last year and is causing devastating consequences for residents of hard-hit cities struggling to cope with the influx, The Post has learned.
Of that figure, calculated by Washington DC-based non-profit Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), $67 billion came from the federal government, but the majority of the burden was shouldered by states and local governments.
Of the federal government’s $67 billion spent in 2023, more than $6.6 billion was earmarked for education and over $25 billion was doled out in medical costs. Federal welfare programs ate up $11.5 billion and law enforcement costs were $23.1 billion, according to the 91-page “The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers 2023” report from FAIR.
They point out that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to migrant spending as state and local expenditure is far higher.
“My question is, why are these invaders still breaching our southern border?, said Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, centrally based in Harrison, Arkansas. “When you hear that the federal, state, and local governments are spending this much on these invaders, it’s not the government’s money they’re spending. Our government doesn’t generate any money whatsoever. The money the federal, state and local governments are shelling out is our tax dollars.This is our hard earned income being spent on non-white criminal invaders! White Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and these invaders are living the life of luxury. What we have to spend our hard earned money on, they get for free! I don’t know why when some people see these figures it doesn’t infuriate them. Compassion is a great attribute, but White Americans need to show their compassion towards their own White brothers and sisters. If not, the White race will soon become extinct. We can’t just give..give..give and expect to survive.”
