On Monday, November 6th., Public News Service ran this headline, “Civil rights groups call Texas’ proposed laws, razor wire dehumanizing.” The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas is opposed to Senate Bill 11, which would make it a state crime for illegally entering Texas from Mexico, and authorize state police to arrest violators. A Colorado man who attacked a Capitol Police officer with a wooden plank during the Jan. 6 riots was sentenced to nearly three years in prison on Friday, the Justice Department announced. Jacob Clark was found guilty in January of obstruction of an official proceeding, in addition to multiple misdemeanors for his participation in the riots.
