On Monday March 23rd, NBC News reported the headline, “A Mexican Man Died In ICE Custody, He’s the 10th Person Since October.” Immigration authorities said Monday a 42 year-old Mexican man died in a South Texas hospital while being held pending his deportation. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement identified the man as Ramiro Hernandez Ibarra and said he died Saturday after being hospitalized Thursday. Thomas Murt introduced HB244, and filed the 25 page bill that says, “a person holding an ammunition purchase authorization permit issued under this section may purchase or otherwise seek the transfer of ownership of ammunition from a retailer that sells ammunition.” The bill also says the cost of the permit will not exceed $50 and adds a tax on gun and ammunition sales.
