On Wednesday, January 20th, I watched in horror at the inauguration of Joe Biden as he took his oath on his family Bible, while simultaneously, I read this headline, “Biden selects transgender doctor Rachel Levine as assistant health director,” from The Washington Post.
President-elect Joe Biden announced Tuesday that he will nominate Rachel Levine, Pennsylvania’s top health official, as his assistant secretary of health. Levine, a pediatrician, would become the first openly transgender federal official to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
As Pennsylvania’s secretary of health, Levine has risen to national prominence for leading the state’s public health response to the coronavirus pandemic, despite repeated and ugly attacks on her gender identity.
Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party, based in Harrison Arkansas, spoke from his National Office saying, “I remember a time when people only complained about our government officials lining their pockets with a few tax dollars, but now, promoting the two biggest sins against God recorded in the Bible, which is homosexuality and miscegenation, is taking things too far for a nation founded by, and intended to remain a White Christian nation. No wonder Joe Biden used his own Bible, there must not be a Satanic one in the White House….yet!” Compared to what we now have holding offices, I like many, say ‘bring back the crooks!'”
