Need proof that America is becoming a Godless nation? The Christian Broadcasting Network, on Monday, August 23rd, posted this headline, “New Survey Reveals 60 Percent of Christians Aged 18 – 39 Beleive Jesus Not Only Way to Salvation.”
A new survey reveals a shocking statistic about young Christians. More than 60 percent of born-again Christians between the ages of 18 – 39 believe that Jesus, Buddha, and Muhammad are all equal in regards to a path to salvation.
Probe Ministries recently released the results of its Religious Views & Practices Survey showed a “striking decline” in religious beliefs and practices over the last ten years. The survey shows a majority of Born-again Christians are ignorant about the basic teachings of their faith.
“Ignorant is an understatement”, said Pastor Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party, based in Harrison, Arkansas. He continued, “The reason young people today don’t understand Christianity is because the teaching has been removed from the public school systems. Historically, the schools in America taught students about God and His commandments. In fact, the first schools in America were built so that children would have more knowledge about God and Christianity. Even though the schools do not espouse the truths of Christianity, it is still the responsibility of the parents to teach it to their children. In today’s educational environment, the educational hierarchy says it is wrong for teachers to inform students about Jesus Christ. However, Christian teachers should be allowed to introduce the Christian faith to their students and then, at the very least, allow students to go home and ask his or her parents questions about God, and who Jesus was.
