Knights Party Press Release: Feb. 2. 2022

Ok, alot of us already know the reason, but we’ll cover this for those who don’t. On Monday, January 31st., The National Review ran this no-brainer, “The Real Reason They Want to Cancel Joe Rogan.”

Last week, musician Neil Young issued an ultimatum: Spotify could either remove Joe Rogan’s immensely popular podcast or it could remove Young’s catalogue of music. “They can have Rogan or Young. Not both,” Young explained.

The musician’s complaint came in response to what he deemed Covid-19 “misinformation” on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, including the host’s skeptical comments about the vaccines. After giving it some thought, Spotify took down Young’s music, explaining that the supposedly objectionable content on Rogan’s podcast did not meet the threshold for removal.

Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, centrally based in Harrison, Arkansas, touched on this subject saying, “Now I’m no fan of Neil Young, and I haven’t really listened to the Joe Rogan show either. Not because I dislike him or anything, I just never seem to have time. But I do know that he’s a conservative speaker, and his show is a conservative show. That being said, we know how today in America, conservatives are being silenced. How? Big Tech, at the direction of our government, doesn’t let a conservative voice their opinions on social media, or anywhere for that matter. I recently saw that Dan Bongino was booted from YouTube as well, and the list goes on and on. Here though, Spotify stood up for our right to free speech, so this one was a win for a conservative host. Or maybe, Spotify realized that Joe Rogan was more of a cash-cow for them than singer Neil Young? Either way, it’s a win for us conservatives!”
