By the hand of God? I don’t think so. On Wednesday November 13. 2024, Belief Net ran this headline, “‘For Such a Time as This’: Pastor Greg Laurie Claims God Positioned Trump to Protect Christian Values.”
In a powerful message delivered recently, Pastor Greg Laurie, founder of the Harvest churches in California and Hawaii and of the renowned Harvest Crusades, made a bold claim regarding former President Donald Trump’s return to the political spotlight. Laurie believes that Trump’s recent election victory is no coincidence but rather part of a divine mandate for “such a time as this”—a phrase Laurie draws directly from the biblical story of Queen Esther.
Laurie’s message resonates with the biblical account of Esther, a young Jewish woman who rose to power as queen of Persia and was instrumental in saving her people from destruction. Esther’s story, Laurie argues, mirrors Trump’s unexpected elevation to political prominence, with God orchestrating circumstances to protect His people and uphold their freedoms.
This is a pivotal moment in the history our our nation. Now the election is over, as Christians we should be praying for a mighty spiritual awakening to sweep our land.
Thomas Robb, the National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, and Pastor of the Christian Revival Center, both located in Harrison, Arkansas spoke from his National Office, “I can see after the last 4 years of pure hell that the Biden/Harris administration has put American citizens through that anything better might be seen as an act of God, but I don’t think this is the case, at least not the account by Pastor Greg Laurie. First of all, Pastor Laurie, as many religious leaders today have the biblical account wrong. Jews have nothing to do whatsoever with the success of America. The downfall maybe, but certainly not the successes. God’s chosen people were not the Jews. God chosen people were, and still are the White race. Many people can’t wrap their heads around this fact because they have been indoctrinated by the Jews to believe that they are God’s chosen people. America won’t see true success until God’s actual chosen people have control. President Trump isn’t the saviour of America, Jesus Christ is. Even though the next four years will be better for America, unless we change the racial demographics of America from becoming a non white country, God will continue to judge our people.”
