Donald Trump could be setting the stage for something Americans once believed unimaginable – martial law on their own soil.
As ‘Hands Off!’ protests erupted across all 50 states over the weekend, the US president did not urge for calm or unity. Instead, he defended his policy to deport immigrants, or as the White House called them, ‘illegal aliens’.
Jason Pack, host of the Disorder Podcast, told Metro about America’s path to martial law under Trump and how it may be ‘the only way for him to stay in power’.
Claims about Trump’s plan to declare martial law on April 20 – a date also known for being Adolf Hitler’s birthday – first began circulating on TikTok over the weekend.
Like many theories that gain traction on social media, this one hinges on circumstantial timing as the date falls on when the department of defence and the department of homeland security are to submit a report assessing the situation at the US-Mexico border.
They are expected to recommend whether to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 for purposes of border enforcement.
Jason explained this would be the administration’s first step in the path to eventually declaring martial law, but said the ‘Hands Off!’ protests are likely to be used as the excuse to do it.

In just a couple paragraphs, we see words like ‘insurrection’, ‘martial law’, and ‘Adolf Hitler’. All trigger words meant to scare you. Just because the leftists didn’t get to finish America off in a second term, they are running scared now, they think we all should live in fear. In California in the late 1970s, a group of friends would meet to smoke joints at 4:20 pm every day and “420” soon became code for going to get high. April 20th thus became a day to commemorate smoking dope. Maybe I’ll start a rumour, I’ll spread it around that on April 20th., President Trump is taking some time off to sit around smoking blunts and catching up on his reading of Mein Kampf. Hey, it is possible that Hunter left a couple stashes lying around that he forgot about.”
