Christians in Idaho who had been banned from carrying religious symbols during their 4th of July parade came out in force on Thursday proudly toting crosses.

Those who attended the Independence Day parade in Coeur d’Alene in the deep red state could be seen proudly waving crosses alongside the star spangled banner.

As some carried crosses alongside Old Glory, others wore t-shirts with the symbol of the cross emblazoned across it.

The move by locals came after the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber reversed a policy which had banned the use of religious symbols in the July 4 parade.

New regulations that had been implemented had banned ‘symbols associated with specific political movements, religions or ideologies’, branding them unacceptable.

Pastor of the Christian Revival Center, and National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, both centered in Harrison, Arkansas, Thomas Robb said, “On the outside, this looks great, right? The problem is that some that call themselves Christians are as far away from God as they possibly could be. You need to be sure that your church leader is preaching the right message. I believe our forefathers were Christian Identists. It shows in the many laws they created and the government they had set up. Most will agree that our government has strayed far away from the government our forefathers envisioned. But so have today’s churches. Our forefathers didn’t miscegenate, nor did they allow homosexuality, but look at today’s churches. Many not only support these two sins, but they even promote it! If you’re going to add religion to your celebration of America’s founding, which you should, be sure it’s the religion of our forefathers. If your church allows non-whites and homosexuals to sit among the congregation, you can carry all the crosses you want, but it’s meaningless, because your church leader has misled you.”
