We are most definately living within the pages of George Orwell’s book, ‘1984’, here’s proof. On Friday, March 24th, The Daily Caller published this headline, “‘Orwellian Conformity’: Texas University Sued For Canceling A Charity Drag Show“.
A Texas student organization sued West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) officials Friday morning after a charity drag show was canceled, the court document reads.
Spectrum WT, the LGBTQ+ student organization at WTAMU, and two of its student leaders accused President Walter Wendler of violating their First Amendment rights when he canceled their scheduled drag show earlier this week for being a mockery to women, according to the complaint. The students are represented by free speech watchdog Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
“If drag shows are not your cup of tea, then don’t go,” Adam Steinbaugh, FIRE attorney, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “But government officials, like university presidents, can’t shut down student expression just because they find it offensive. The First Amendment right that protects the students here is the same one that protects the rights of students to post flyers on campus condemning communism, invite conservative campus speakers, or pass out copies of the U.S. Constitution.”
National Director of the Knights Party of the Ku Klux Klan, and Pastor of the Christian Revival Center, both located in Harrison, Arkansas, Pastor Thomas Robb spoke from the Christian Revival Center saying, “My job as a Pastor isn’t an easy one. It carries with it the responsibilty of teaching God’s true words, and leading my congregation, be it here in the church, or my internet congregation, down the correct path. Many Preachers, Pastors, Fathers, or whatever name some go by, think they are teaching God’s true word, but they are not. Genesis 19:23 through 19:29 tells us that God hates homosexuality enough that He destroyed two cities over it. We know our forefathers were Christians, so for someone to say that the First Amendment gives the right to express homosexuality is not true. Our forefathers built America on White, Christianity, so to say the First Amendment gives the right to express public homosexuality can’t be compared to passing out flyers condemning communism, inviting Conservative speakers, and handing out copies of the U.S. Constitution. Passing flyers against communism, and passing out copies of our Constitution would go in line with what our forefathers built America on. Our forefathers were proud of the Constitution, they were against communism, and as Godly people, they were absolutely against homosexuality. America is a White, Christian country, and being so, it stands against homosexuality in any form. If you think otherwise, expect the punishment doled out to Sodom and Gomorrah. As a man of faith, I can say this with certainty.”
