Yesterday, June 11th, the New York Post ran this headline, “Black people arrested five times more than white in the US in 2018.” Black people were arrested five times more than white people in 2018, according to an analysis of arrest data from across the country. That arrest rate was found in 800 jurisdictions, after accounting for demographics within those municipalities, according to an ABC News review of data voluntarily reported to the FBI by city and county police departments. On Tuesday June 9th, CBS News ran this headline, “KKK Member Arrested After Driving Car Into Protest.” Prosecutors said the man arrested for driving into protesters in Virginia on Sunday has been identified as a self-proclaimed Ku Klux Klan leader named Harry Rogers, CBS affiliate WTVR reports.
